The term, significant other is explained as following on Urban Dictionary: significant other.

Josie is Keith's significant other.

Your mate, spouse, husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, steady and/or lover. Used when you don't want to be too specific, or when the details are nobody's business.

When you're "dating" only one person, but the official title of boyfriend/girlfriend does not exist.

It's said to be a textbook for IMIS major.

The first snow of this winter fell today, as the weather forecast told, "Chance of Snow 0C / -8C", drawing a clear line between October and November.

It's my first snow in Beijing.

When thinking of the snow in North, I guess "commodity" may describe. And this one was so early.

I think autumn in Beijing is very nice, except for the dust in the air on windy days.

The temperature dropped slowly and steadily, so far, without Z-turns like that in Hangzhou. 

When autumn ends, I should have enjoyed the autumn colours here and be still on hard schedule.

At the beginning of the semester, one of our instructors told us to be
1. good at mathematics;
2. good at programming;
3. positive doing anything.
(要求：数学好，编程好，态度好。)

And later, I learnt from XF that his instructor told him to mater 5 things:
a software development methodology,
a modeling language,
a database,
an operating system,
a programming language.
(精通一种软件开发方法；
精通一种建模语言；
精通一种数据库；
精通一种操作系统；
精通一种程序设计语言。)

So, remember them.
